The meaning of the name Apricity is „the warmth of the sun in winter“ – the founder of the band stumbled across it and introduced it to the others. The band Apricity, based in Austria, consists of five members and was established in 2023. The first part of the band came together in the summer of 2023, in the following months the rest joined. They have not settled for a specific genre as they are still unsure. Their first small performance was in the Grand Garage, May 2024. The first three songs followed a month after the performance. Maniac, summer nights and rain were the debut songs of Apricity. Their second performance took place in August 2024 for the JUKU jam-session. Two new songs were published on the 16th of October, Missed calls and two in three.Their first public radio appearance at Radio FRO by the Jugendclub Ann&Pat happened on the same day , where they were interviewed by the musician Robson Darker.They released their first Album ‘RΛUM’ on the 16.04.2025, it contains 11 songs. They performed a few of their songs at the 75 year celebration of the Musikschule in Linz. Thez had their second public radio appearance on the 16.04.2025 after their album got released. Their first ‘big’ concert followed two days after (18.04.2025, where they presented their Album. They made an appearance at the Podcast show of the Kulturhof in Linz aswell. They launched their first Merch in form of stickers and tote bags, T-shirts and more designs are currently in the making. On the 23.05.2025 the band had a performance at the Kulturhof Linz alongside two other artists. On the 24.05.2025 they performed at the Gträtzlfest in Linz alongside three other bands. All of Apricity´s songs are recorded by the members themselves in the smallest studio of Linz: the guitarists bedroom. The act of the recording happens in a time span of two to three whole days. All of the members are still going to school. They have two rehearsal rooms one based at STUWE and one at the Jugendclub Ann&Pat.
